Gauge Branding commissioned me to develop a wine label design for McCollister Estates.
The concept was a decorative, three-dimensional emblem referencing their original family crest. Mythical-looking lions and an eagle/dragon motif, all set within a circular format.
Elements evoking the East and West coasts included a Cabernet Sauvignon leaf, elements from the original family crest, a Lion, an Eagle, an Ocean wave, and an intertwining cap M. The look and feel: weathered, carved, three-dimensional
Used as their main company logo, presentation wine box, and wine labels.
Sculpted lions, galleon, and eagle.
Custom model sculpted M,
The work-in-progress image shows the initial roughs and design development. Generic lions were replaced with custom-sculpted ones based on the original family crest. An additional galleon model that was not used.
